Happy Monday friends! This weekend was filled with good friends, needlepoint, Disney’s Sky Liner, tacos, Star Wars, annnnd cleaning the house- so much stuff! Oh, AND WE WERE KID-FREE! Thanks to my wonderful in-laws, the kids spent the weekend in Gainesville and Peter and I spent the weekend with sweet friends and had way too much fun with them. Don’t believe me? Just scroll to the Saturday night at Disney and you’ll be really amused 🙂
Taylor and I took Eloise Friday morning to Magic Kingdom to shoot some quick photos of Eloise in her Dumbo outfit before she grows out of it (sister is growing like a weed!). Since she’s turned two it’s been a lot harder to take photos of her, and she’s always on the go. We DID snap a few cute ones though! The three of us stopped in at Big Top Circus to see our sweet friend and got a fall-themed treat as an “it’s Friday treat”, and saw Taylor’s Daniel in his Dapper Dan finest. We only spent a few hours at Disney and were in our cars by 12:45pm, but it was such a fun morning!
Friday night Peter and I celebrated National Taco Day at Hunger Street Tacos here in Orlando, and well, we had so much fun celebrating we didn’t take a single photo! Oops… haha. While I’m totally lacking in photos, I can share a fabulous map of all of the taco places around Orlando, all thanks to LemonHearted! Whether you live in Orlando or not, you should give Lindsey from LemonHearted a follow- she shares marketing tips and tricks, and isn’t an “influencer” (she said it herself!). Read more about her here, and you can find her on Instagram here.
I spent Saturday afternoon with my gal pals Taylor, Beth, and Katie and ventured to my favorite needlepoint shop in Orlando, The Black Sheep. Katie and I are seasoned stitchers, and we introduced Taylor and Beth to their newest hobby. I can safely say that Beth is in love and she got the cutest Star Wars C-3PO to stitch, and I can’t wait to see what she turns it into! A patch maybe? A keyfob? I know it’ll be darling whatever it is.
After leaving The Black Sheep, the girls and I went to Barnie’s Coffee & Tea for a late brunch. French toast, avocado toast, and a cobb salad were ordered… with lots of coffee! We sat outside and taught stitching techniques for the newly-purchased canvases before our food arrived. And when it did, well, it had to be Instagrammed!
The fun continued with the girls and we went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Saturday evening, and Peter, Daniel, and Wesley came along to make it even more fun! Galaxy’s Edge was on our agenda and we ate Ronto Wraps, purchased droid hats and went to the Millenium Falcon for some fun nighttime photos. Beth brought her Star Wars needlepoint (so fitting!) and stitched in front of the Falcon, and then we all took couples photos… and it went downhill from there haha. I swear we’re adults here!
Beth’s new C-3PO needlepoint canvas is DARLING. I am so happy she’s stitching, and cannot wait to see what else she makes!
Wesley and Katie are new friends, a huge bonus that came from their portrait session I shot last week at Disney’s Port Orleans. I cannot wait to share the entire gallery! It it SO GOOD.
Taylor and Daniel are always so fun to be around, and they are just the cutest couple around. I mean, how cute are they?!
Beth wanted to pose with her imaginary partner, and we all were crying laughing at the looks she got during this shot!
After spending some time in Galaxy’s Edge, we all went to Rockin’ Roller Coaster with Fast Passes in hand (so crazy we all got the same time!) and decided on doing a “look”. When we got off the ride, I was crying from laughing so hard at our ride photo! It’s priceless, and for sure getting framed- I had to steal this from Katie’s Instagram because she presented it perfectly haha.
After the roller coaster Peter, Wesley, Katie and I took Disney’s new Sky Liner to the Caribbean Beach resort after we were told that the Epcot line (our original plan) was down for the night. As it turned out, the accident on the Sky Liner had just happened minutes ago and we had no idea. Thankfully we all stopped to purchase bottles of water before getting on the Sky Liner gondolas- I am so grateful we didn’t get on minutes before, and so grateful we didn’t get stuck for hours like other guests! We still took the gondolas from Hollywood Studios to Art of Animation and back, and unfortunately it could be our first and last time for awhile as it’ll be closed for investigation.
Peter and I spent Sunday cleaning the house and watching football as we prepped to have the kids back home from Gainesville Sunday evening. They had a wonderful time with their grandparents (as they always do!), and it was a great “reset” for Peter and I. This week is going to be a stressful one with advocating for Eloise and for her medical programs, so this weekend was a great “calm before the storm”. This week will be crazy, but I know it’ll be a good one.

On the blog this week, you’ll see our September in review, Eloise’s first ice skating lesson, three fall-themed Disney treats you need to try, and darling decor ideas from SugarBoo & Co. in Disney Springs. I can’t wait to share them all with you!
