Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate, but it can become so expensive so quickly! Peter and I made an agreement early on in our relationship (nearly ten years ago!) that he won’t buy flowers for me on Valentine’s Day, and instead he’ll bring some home for me on the 28th. Why should he pay 500% more for a dozen roses on just one day? That’s silly! And just like our agreement with flowers, we’ve agreed to a price limit on our little gifts to each other. I love taking baths to relax after a long day, so I’ve rounded up my favorite gifts under $40 that are perfect for bath time!
2. Jo Malone London Red Roses bath oil: If you love a fragrant bath, this is the bath oil for you! The oil leaves your skin feeling extra soft without an oily feeling. Pour a little of the bath oil in while the faucet is on, and the whole bathroom will smell like roses. 30mL $25 at NeimanMarcus.com
3. LUSH Pink Bath Bomb: LUSH writes on their website, it’s a “vanilla bath time confection with saucy undertones,” and that’s exactly what it is! The bath water turns pink under all of the bubbles, and it makes me feel like a little kid again in the bathtub. It smells wonderful too! $4.95 at LushUSA.com
4. LUSH Cupcake Fresh Face Mask: When I’m in the bathtub, I always put a face mask on. Why not kill two birds with one stone? This cupcake face mask is the go-to for oily skin, and is a great spot treatment for that stubborn T-zone oiliness. Spearmint and vanilla absolute help to cool and soothe irritated skin, and is the perfect mask for sensitive skin. $7.95 at LushUSA.com
5. Vino2Go Wine Glass cup: Has anyone had their wine glass end up in the bathtub by accident? I’ll be the first to say it’s happened plenty of times! The Vino2Go cups are plastic wine glasses in a Tervis-like encasement with an optional lid, and is the only cup I’ll use while I’m soaking. $13 from The Glitter Bar on etsy.com
6. LUSH Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb: This bathbomb has real roses in it and once this bathbomb has dissolved, you have beautiful dried spray roses floating in the bath around you. Tisty Tosty is great for dry skin, and leaves skin feeling soft and supple. This is one of Peter’s favorite Lush products, too! $6.45 at LushUSA.com
7. HDMX Jam Classic Wireless Speaker: Who loves to jam out in the shower? I do! I love listening to anything from classical to house music while I soak, and this tiny speaker delivers great sound at a great price. Did I mention it comes in an adorable magenta color? $29.99 at Target.com
8. Nest Fragrances Grapefruit Candle: Mix coriander blossom, lilly of the valley, and pink pomelo grapefruit together and you have a beautiful fragrance that is uplifting and fresh. This candle sits on the ledge of my bathtub and is lit during each soak. It’s the cherry on the top for any bath! $37.67 at Amazon.com
9. Tassi towel head band: If you don’t own one of these Tassi head bands, go get one now! The Tassi band acts as a head band and pulls hair back and away from the face to eliminate wet hair when washing your face. A huge plus about the Tassi? It doesn’t crimp hair! No more hair clip crimps, no more ruined hair. Tassi bands are machine washable, and incredibly easy to use. It’s a must-have for any girl! $13 at EPIcure Day Spa in Oxford, Mississippi (662) 234-2215
