* This was a hosted event by Cybex and this post contains affiliate links * Happy Thursday friends! It has been a whirlwind week and we’re currently in Mississippi (more on that later!), but before we left Orlando yesterday the Weiss fam went to test out the brand new Cybex e-PRIAM at MacroBaby and we had so. much. fun! Cybex released their first electric stroller and they’re touring around the country to spread the (glorious) news about this must-have electric-assist stroller and now Peter and I both really want it.
Cybex, the maker of infant car seats (Eloise’s red one!), boosters, and strollers is now the proud maker of an electric-assist stroller. But what does an “electric-assist stroller” mean?! The e-PRIAM is a lithium battery operated smart stroller that detects both pulling and pushing pressure uphill and downhill to speed up or slow down the stroller’s movement. This stroller brakes for you! This stroller ascends hills for you! And rough terrain? It will power over cobblestone as if it were smooth concrete. Yes, I know, I didn’t believe it either… until I tested it out with the Cybex team at their amazing Road Tour stroller test track.
An uphill ramp, wooden planks, cobblestone, astroturf, and a steep downhill didn’t fase the Cybex e-PRIAM at all, and well, the look on my face says it all! I might’ve used 20% of my energy to push and pull the stroller around with a 30lb weight strapped in the seat, and with the electric assist I am ready to conquer those awful Disney Monorail ramps (hello Magic Kingdom)!
So let’s talk numbers and style: the Cybex e-PRIAM is rated to carry a 55lb child (!!!), and has a magnetic-closure undercarriage storage area that will hold just about anything. Backpacks, cameras, basically anything we could imagine taking with us to the Parks or a farmer’s market would easily fit. Cybex really took time with their design, and it shows- the rose gold edition has rose gold everything, down to the shocks on the wheels! Perforated leather handles, extended canopy, and an adjustable footplate make this the Eames chair of strollers. Don’t believe me about the stroller being designed from the Eames chair? You can read all about it here.
We love love love the Cybex e-Priam and it’s at the top of my wishlist for new and innovative baby gear! It’s safe to say that Eloise loves it too 🙂
Thank you so much for having us, Cybex! Once again we’re hooked on another innovative design, and I’m hoping that we have this rose gold dream under the Christmas tree (pretty pleeeeease!!!)!
