Bags are packed, and in two days we are taking the kids to…
… France and Switzerland!
YES, we are going to France and Switzerland with my parents and we are so incredibly excited! This will be our first international trip with the kids, and while we are a little nervous about how they’ll handle it I know we’ll have an amazing time. We will be gone for nearly two weeks total, six in Paris and six in Switzerland, and yes, one of those days is at Disneyland Paris!
We’ve been talking to the kids about this vacation for months, and the real reason why we’re headed over is for the love of trains that Walter and my dad have together. We’ll be taking a train, specifically the Bernina Express, in Switzerland- Walter and my dad have a model of this train and it will be so, so special to see my dad and W on “the real thing”. This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we are going to live it up!
Explaining where we are going hadn’t been the easiest for Walter, but thanks to Mapiful we have been able to show him exactly where we’re going for these 11 days on this beautiful custom map, and I’ll be taking map pencils to it when we get back to plot out exactly where we went (and then frame it!). It was so easy to customize on their website, and we got this beauty in the mail within a few days; it’s like having a souvenir before we’ve even left!
