It’s the day after Easter, and it’s safe to say the Weiss fam is recovering from last week! Is anyone else feeling like this happened to them this morning?
On Tuesday, Peter and I purchased a new family-friendly car and traded in his BMW X1. While we’ll miss the car that brought Walter home from the hospital (cue the tears), I can tell you that Walter is incredibly excited to be able to watch Peppa Pig from the backseat of the new car whenever he pleases. Photo coming soon!
Walter’s Mother’s Morning Out had an Easter egg hunt for all of the kiddos on Wednesday at school, and Walter had a wonderful time at his first egg hunt! He didn’t really get the hang of it until the end of the video below (and apparently I didn’t really focus on him in the video, but that’s beside the point) but he still had so much fun gathering Easter eggs.
On Saturday we went to our town’s Touch-A-Truck event, and Walter enjoyed every second of it! From touching police cars, to fire trucks, to tow trucks and bulldozers, Walter was in heaven. It was so difficult trying to pry him from each truck, but he absolutely couldn’t leave the fire truck. Can you blame him?
After the Touch-A-Truck event, we had tickets to the third game of the Ole Miss v. South Carolina baseball series, and it couldn’t have been a prettier day! Even though Ole Miss lost, we still had a great time cheering on our Rebels.
After the ballgame was over, all of the children at the game were invited onto the field for an Easter egg hunt. It was a mad dash to the eggs, but Walter managed to get two of them. He refused to let go of them for over an hour after the egg hunt! The video below is the craziness of the egg hunt on the baseball field.
On Sunday we took it easy at home, and the rain kept us indoors for most of the day. I was feeling crummy with allergies (hello pollen!) but we still went to take a few pictures of Walter in his Easter best when the rain showers subsided.
Wishing you a very happy week ahead!

Your little boy is precious! I love a happy egg hunt. I just found you via Instagram because you like one of the pictures I posted on there of the Graduate’s decor. We were there this weekend for my husband’s birthday. Hotty Toddy!
