This past weekend was Oxford’s Double Deceker arts festival weekend and, like always, we had a blast! My parents flew in for the weekend for great food, fun art and knick-knacks, and to see their grandson (I feel like they come to visit him, and not Peter and I anymore! haha).
On Saturday, Oxford shut down the Square to have vendors sell everything from wooden spoons to metal art, to eclectic birdhouses and more! VisitOxford offers double decker
A big reason to go to Double Decker is to visit my favorite local artist, Lois Arrechea. Peter and I own eight of her landscape pantings, and our favorite one hangs over our bed. She has become quite popular recently, and there were only three paintings left of hers at her tent, and it was only 10:30am!
I picked up three pieces of art that I couldn’t pass up, and this darling Mississippi painting with layered paint was begging to have a home on our gallery wall.
This little cactus oil painting had to come home too. I can’t wait to hang this in our living room!
Somehow, somehow Peter and I snapped two family photos in one week. I love this one of us! In fact, this one and the pinning ceremony photo will both be added to the gallery wall. Our living room wall will be filled thanks to this past week’s fun adventures!
