It’s official: the Weiss fam hit up our first pumpkin patch since living in Florida (I’m ashamed it’s taken this long) over the weekend, and after looking at lists of patches in the area we randomly chose Club Lake Plantation’s Fall Festival, it’s safe to say that we might’ve hit the pumpkin/fall jackpot. Hayrides, a corn maze, games, a cute country store, and pumpkins in every shape and color are all found at this beautiful spot just outside of Orlando in Apopka, Florida.
As we drove up, Walter immediately saw the tractors, I immediately drooled over the giant tree in the pumpkin patch area (photo goals!), and Peter was all about the country store; we couldn’t wait to jump out of the car! The country store is called “The Cow Palace”, and sells everything pumpkin and fall, from jams and jellies to candles and soaps. Hung along the ceiling were mesh bags filled with small pumpkins for “pumpkin chunkin'”, although they were so cute I’m not sure how you could throw them! Just me? Okay. The country store is also where pumpkins are purchased and they had a goliath of a pumpkin for $90 that Walter needed; if anyone’s asking, it’s still available for purchase! (read: it didn’t come home with us)
Peter and Walter went on a hayride while Eloise and I went on a walk around the property, and gosh this place is beautiful- no wonder the Club Lake Plantation has weddings here!
Not nonly were the tractors a hit for Walter, the games and playground area were a huge must-do for him too! He loved shooting hoops (he landed several!) and a lemonade from the outdoor stand was the perfect treat after running around the property. Pssst… They also serve finger foods and have a TV to watch the college football game on. It’s a win-win!
We made it to the pumpkin patch and snapped as many photos of the kiddos as we could, and they certainly performed! This patch might be my favorite of all photo spots because it has the most beautiful tree in the center, and the pumpkins were perfect.
All in all, the Club Lake Plantation’s Fall Festival is 110% worth the ticket price and is a must-do for anyone in the Orlando-area. The festival dates are from Saturday, September 29th- Sunday, October 28th, and they are open six days per week (they are CLOSED on Mondays). Admission pricing during the week is $7.95 per person with hayrides extra, and $13.95 per person on weekends with hayrides included.
