Holy wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve been back on here! I feel like I say that in every post, but life has gotten so crazy these past few months that my blog and my Instagram feed took a backseat. So much has happened these past few weeks, and I’m excited to jump back into blogging again! So here’s a life update:
Speaking of jumping, last week I took the kiddos with Kristyne and Chelsea to the Museum of Ice Cream in Miami for its very last weekend in Miami, and we jumped in the sprinkles pool! We had the best time with all of the colorful rooms and art installations, and I can’t wait to share more of our Museum of Ice Cream trip- that deserves a whole separate post! But for now, here are a few snaps from this past weekend!
Instagram vs real life, am I right?!

Eloise deserves her own little update, as things have gotten really crazy these past few weeks with her.
Eloise is officially nine and a half months old! Wow, time flies. Little Miss has had a tough time since March, and mid-March Eloise tested positive for C. Diff., which is an infection of the GI tract. We believe this was a “party favor” from Eloise’s last hospital admission in January/February. It took seven weeks for her to finally test toxic-negative, but the infection has caused her to be more susceptible to contracting C Diff again, and she has to stay away from antibiotics unless absolutely necessary… for life.
In the midst of C Diff, Eloise came down with an ear infection that just wouldn’t go away with antibiotics, and because she was already taking powerful antibiotics for her GI infection, she underwent surgery to have tubes put in her ears. They’ve been doing their job, but she’s currently dealing with another ear infection; she’s certainly putting these tubes to the test!
Eloise hadn’t had many apneas since March up until two weeks ago, where she started a spell of apneas. It’s been tough. They came out of the blue, and she’s regressed with both apneas and bradycardia episodes. We have gotten the go-ahead to see neurology and cardiology again for another evaluation to see if these new apnea episodes are being caused by a heart block, or by something else; Eloise’s head circumference has increased from the 80th percentile in March to the 97th at the end of April, and there could potentially be an issue there. Hopefully the circumference increase is just because she’s going to be a smart girl 🙂

Walter is four years old, and boy, is he active! Four is great, four is c h a l l e n g i n g. This kiddo has the biggest heart and loves his little sister, and for that I’m incredibly thankful. W’s last week of Pre-K3 is next week, and I’m not ready for an official Pre-K’er. I know I said this earlier, but where did the time go?!
Walter is still ice skating and loving every second of it. Y’all, he can skate backwards and is starting to do spins- look out Olympics, Walter is coming for you! He loves his Spanish class at school, and he’ll sing you the “Red is rojo” song whether you ask for it or not 🙂
His favorite treat is still his “Superman” ice cream from Kilwin’s in Winter Park, or a milkshake from Chickfila if we can’t make it to our favorite ice cream and chocolate shop. His favorite color is green, and his vampire sloth, Vlad, from Slumberkins is his go-to lovey.
Oh, and did I mention he has a big boy bed now? Yeah, that’s a thing (and another blog post).

Now that life has finally calmed down a bit, with Eloise back in her PPEC and Walter still in school (for only a week more), I feel like I’m finally able to blog a bit. I’m excited to share more of our life here in Orlando, more updates on Eloise, and more life and style posts… and maybe where to get the best cocktails at Disney World (like this “Grandma’s Picnic Punch one in the photo below- sooo good!).
This time I promise I’ll be more present on the blog! See you back here on Monday? xo
