Tomorrow we head to Houston for spring break after nearly three months of not being home, and I couldn’t be more excited! This week has been filled with fun things and things to look forward to, and I’m looking forward to sharing my Houston, San Antonio, and Bellville favorites while we’re home. Have a great weekend!
We’ve started the process of spring cleaning in the Weiss Wesidence, and I’ve had the hardest time finding storage solutions for toys in our living room (that doubles as a playroom). Earlier this week I found DesignByRube on Instagram, fell in love with all of her canvas products, and perused her Etsy page. I ordered one of her toy bags and cannot wait for it to come in! No more stepping on giant plastic LEGO blocks or tripping on small toy cars… Hey, a girl can wish!
We will be in San Antonio next week for a few days, and I cannot wait to be back! Peter and I haven’t visited since we moved away in January 2014 (cue all the emotions), and we have quite the to-do list while we’re there. La Gloria Mexican food for lunch, Twin Sisters for breakfast, walking the Riverwalk, and we’ll certainly make a pit stop at El Mercado for some of my favorite Mexican dresses. I live in these breezy cotton dresses during the summer months!
I recently purchased a new pair for spring, and the fuschia doesn’t disappoint! These are the shoes that I travel with, and walked miles and miles in while Peter and I were in Paris last week. They’re easy to slip in a carry-on, and they’re my favorite driving shoe. I can’t wait to debut these new kicks in Houston next week!
This spring has proven to be season for babies, and several of my very closest friends are pregnant! They’re all due within the next three months, and it’s been an honor to be asked to do their maternity, hospital, and newborn photos. This week I delivered a very sweet newborn session that absolutely stole my heart. While these next few months might get busy with babes, it’s a kind of busy that I’ll never complain about! And now let’s all take a minute and look at Katie (above), who is my first of six friends to be expecting in the next few months. Isn’t she gorgeous?!?! She is due in the next few weeks, and she makes pregnancy look really, really good.
Did I mention I’m excited to go home? This time of year is bluebonnet season in Texas, and it’s the prettiest; if you haven’t seen them in person, you absolutely have to! You’ll find cars pulled over on the interstate just to snap a photo of a bluebonnet patch, and it’s against the law (moral law!) to pick a bluebonnet.
