Last Monday, Walter and I met with our friends and went to the Artegon here in Orlando. The Artegon calls itself the “Anti-Mall”, and is filled with around a hundred small businesses and artists in a vast indoor area- it’s a gem! This place also has many freaking awesome murals and art installations, and is total heaven for any photographer or Instagrammer. Unfortunately, this place is closing in a few days to become another amusement park (don’t even get me started) and I’m so bummed about it! Literally, the first movie quote that came to mind when we made our trip out there was from Toula’s dad, Gus, from My Big Fat Greek Wedding:
“WHY YOU WANT TO LEAVE ME?!“
So yes, this place is closing for good on Thursday, and it’s super sad. Luckily I grabbed my camera for our Monday visit to document these wonderful walls! I’m sure going to miss this place.
